who know's what u may find? ;)

After years of study they find a red button. Curious what is it function they push it...

Rebooting sequence initialized. Checking memory, subsystems, drivers... Operating system activated.

Suddenly they realised that the planet is massive space ship with its own inteligence. Some kind of Death Star. Weapon desined by advanced civilization to protect it from its enemies...

..but that weapon doesn't know that war is over. So it begins to destroy every fleet, planet on its way.

What you can do? Maybe call allies to destroy it togeter? Or find a way to cheat its "friend or foe" protocol. Or even you will hack it and force to be your own weapon.

Why that civilization can't build it before war? In my idea that weapon was'nt built after their extinction.

We have many nukes which definetly are not bulilt after nuclear war. What if in the future any caveman discover one and activate it? Moreover Germans built many advanced weapons before they lost second WW (like jetfighters).

Hi all!

A few ideas:

- Heavy core planets resulting in: rare element production (for DLC), gravitational anomalies (innability to place orbital stations, satelittes and making invasions by dropships very risky and prone to losses), heavy electro magnetic anomalies and discharges (difficulties to operate ships in the area, interfering sensors), health hazards for planet population (slow or negative pop growth, lowered moralle or happiness).

- hallucinogen planets: under influence of local flora (if any) ,geothermal, gasvents or radiation, population productivity is decreased and population is prone to unpredictable behaviour or insanity (frequent riots, rebellions, mass suicides, destruction of planet infrastructure, shooting at friendly troops or starships)

- cursed planets: significant part or whole population can dissappear or die. Repopulating the planet with new settlers result in permanent low morale and population can dissapear or die again

- unsettling and depressing planets. although looking good place for new colonies, there is just something wrong with them. colonists feel uneasy, disturbed and want to leave somewhere else. Pop growth penalty, moralle penalty and production penalty.

- Wonder of the universe - planets who attract settlers

- Healing heavens - planet with extraordinary healing capacities, providing increased income due to tourism and pharmaceutic industry and research. They provide pop growth bonus to the entire empire.

- rogue planets: planets in interstellar space

I like your ideas, especially these ones :)
