The Hvalurs

So, how do you think the multi-mile space Hvalurs control their ships? Do they use computers, remote control or something else?

I think that maybe they could separate parts of themselves (like the Vorlons in Babylon 5, but physically) and use it as organic control units. Or maybe they put their "children" in the ships. :)

Or maybe they place armor around themselves (or grow extra thick skin), and they ARE fighting themselves as 'ships'.
Also, they could build HUGE ships which they fit into? Something like the Velociraptor race from StarTrek Voyager? They just beamed up Voyager into own HUGE vessel. That was just mind-bending ;)

That would be interesting. They would "build" ships with food too, not just minerals or production. During wartime, the government would promote marriages and would forget about birth control

Yea I kind of always imagined them existing as the ships themselves.

Yeah, so building a ship would lower the population by 1, basically they would put on an 'iron man' suit and fight other race's ships.

Yeah, it got already implemented ie in MOO2; there was a race which had amazing reproduction rate, another one had zero negotiation skills.. Etc. I think all the races will have something extraordinary about them...

I agree with VenomStorm. I think that they gona be rather like space animals or inteligent beings which develop by genetic manipulation. Maybe they shouldn't have tech tree but Genetic Mutations (oh now I am dreaming about Zerg like race in this game).

Are all breeds organic creatures? There is no pure stone beings, metal, sand creatures, crystalline entity or gas being, spirit, liquid essence without bio?
There is a god and HE LOVES YOU! Look at the bible, John 3:16.

Pure crystal entity are Lithodoros.
Also you have pure energy - Stjornurans.
Pure metal - Velmenese.
Mostly energy - Ameslarians
Mostly spirit - 2nd Nosnarians personality
Partly stone - Hvalurs
...
I think it's all from non-biological races, but I may be wrong.
