Yes, of course.
As we wrote in our last Kickstarter update, all of our backers will get +1 tier, as a small reward for our delay.

Some changes in placement of GUI elements. Now it'll be even easier to navigate.
Minor changes in aliens apperance.
We start with 12 races, not 20 as planned. (There is plenty of work with them - even in such big team, but we will add those 8 as free updates!)
We will have different audience rooms.
We will not have separate rooms for espionage and science for every race.
Some changes in overall small game features, but they are very small.

Guys, I don't want to put another "standard" 4x game strategy into market.
I'm still very excited about creating M.O.R.E. for you and for me! :)

Number of species is not as important to me as the enjoyment of the empire building and combat gameplay.

12 is more than enough.

Personally I would say if you are planning 8 more to meet promises, which people would appreciate, make 12 and sell 4 as DLC to give people a chance to fund you.

The issue is that if you are providing multiplayer it would be nice to let non DLC client versions render the DLC races if other players are using them, that way you can avoid splitting the player base and keep the goodwill of all players and get some income and tempt non DLC owners to get DLC.

Good luck, I am looking forward to trying the game.

Neither MOO2 had different rooms(science lab, stolen tech by spies and captured tech by soldiers had the same background) but what they had (which is more important) are different outfits for the diplomat, scientist, spy and soldier.
